The New Orleans District Corps of Engineers has released the 2012 version Modified Charleston Method (MVN MCM) for use for use in assessing adverse impacts and compensation requirements for wetland impacts associated with activities permitted under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. The MVN MCM replaces the MCM 2010. The New Orleans District Corps of Engineers released a special public notice today to solicit public comments regarding the use of the Modified Charleston Method as a technique for assessment of compensation requirements for adverse impacts to wetlands and other waters regulated by the Corps. The 404-10 Group will host another half-day conference – this time in the Vicksburg District on September 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We will follow with a social ‘hour’ from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
 
The meeting and social will be held at the Southern Pines Golf Club in Calhoun, LA, about 11 miles west of Monroe.
